I remember this being announced in like 2005. The tests for that version looked... not atrocious, at least.

I don't know how I ended up with the reprints as a kid but I've always had a soft spot for those first few years when it was just Gilbert Shelton doing them.  Once he brought other people on in the mid 70s they kind of lose focus, but the earlier stuff that stays true to the 70s drug culture 3 Stooges concept is pretty fun.
