acid is fucking great.

this, however, is EXTREMELY mediocre. especially considering where it's coming from.

INDEED, FOR ME THE PROCESS OF DESIGNING INSTRUMENTS HAS BECOME INDISSOCIABLE FROM COMPOSITION. ALL OF THE RECORDINGS ON THIS ALBUM WERE MADE IN A SINGLE TAKE WITH NO EDITS, REFLECTING THE SYSTEM’S ORIENTATION TOWARDS LIVE PERFORMANCE. IT IS PRESENTED IN DEFIANCE OF THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE.

And yet the first single of Damogen Furies shamelessly ripped The Cure, of all things. Sometimes experiments lead you to pop melodies, sometimes they lead you to fun things like this acid jam.

This is a really stupid assumption.

whatever. i'm not here to defend Damogen Furies (altho there are some megabangers on that album: Baltang Arg, Kwang Bass, D Frozen Aac).

my point being, if all you extracted from that quite on-point, and to be honest timely, "manifesto" from Tom is that one track resembled a Cure tune (Cure owns), well.
