Yeah some people take this shit very very seriously and it's hilarious. Sometimes I get people liking a specific number of my older posts and I realise it's because I liked the same amount of their posts earlier that day, but just because I was casually liking shit in my feed. So they see I gave them 3 likes and went and gave me the exact amount back? jfc.

I started one, mostly just photos of scenery and buildings.

These useless influencers used to be people on fashion blogs and magazines in anecdotal settings. With a nice fashionable picture and anonymous, other than their first name. Now you have middle aged management at clothing and makeup companies, out of touch, and out of ideas begging children for their ideas so these millennials and Gen X’ers can pay off their art degree. There should be a law, that influencers who make over a half a million a year should have high security meet and greets with the public so teenagers can see what they look like in person!!  

I get a lot of people doing drive-by likings on my posts without following.  It's more common for me than getting actual follows.  Kind of a weird phenomenon.  I tend to only like things from people I'm already following.   lol this "like" culture is so fucking stupid/I have reached rock bottom.

I've noticed within the past few weeks instagram has switched it's feed setup. It shows me new stuff from people I follow, then after the new stuff is shown it then shows stuff it thinks I would like from random people, whereas before it would show older posts from people I follow even if I've already seen it. Could be why you're getting random likes.
