I'm wondering if the watery aspect to the sound is a deliberate use of sines.

I always got an aquatic vibe from Lp5 too... But in a different way. This album actually seems a lot lighter, like lp5 is drowning while this is going on a fun submarine ride looking at cool bioluminescent fish and coral and seaweed...
