Never heard of it but I saw a thread in the music discussion forum about it...?

I can't find anything on here about it, that's why i'm wondering if it's really something cult related?

Yeah, it was deleted and it was in the New & Upcoming Releases subforum. I never clicked on it but I assume it didn't have anything to do with music which is exactly the kind of thread that gets deleted in a subforum like that.

Seeing this picture made me think, maybe QAnon isn’t a political movement, but maybe it’s really become a religious cult. Invent your own dogma for modern times based on 21st Century fears, create a messiah that will save you from the infidels, mobilize others online to share your world view and convince them of impending doom.

Qanon (supporting) GOP candidate arrested for child porn

  Quote

According to Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office booking records, 34-year-old Ben Gibson was booked into Bossier Max Wednesday morning on four counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of thirteen (possession).

Gibson, an active Airman at Barksdale Air Force Base, was a little-known Republican challenger in a four-way race for the U.S. House Dist. 4 Congressional seat. Incumbent Rep. Mike Johnson won the re-election for a third term with 60.4% of the vote. Gibson garnered 6.3% of the vote, coming in last behind Democrats Kenny Houston and Ryan Trundle.

I feel like QAnon is the forebear of The Second Religiousness. Partially. There's going to be something that emerges from the unholy marriage of Q, tiktok wiccans, "the deep web" (ie the urban legend version specifically), occult research, conspiracy theories, flat earth, extreme political ideological larping, AI mysticism (there's already shit like lonely dudes on 4chan falling in love with imaginary girls they create in AI Dungeon), etc.

Basically there's going to be the emergence of the idea of a formless subterranean force, something more bizarre & magical than the increasingly homogenized plastic "safe" culture that dominates your hours as a daywalker. It will somehow embrace all the contradictions of online culture & defy any logical categorization: it will manifest through technological advancement, but also harken back to something primordial, hyberborean. It will cater to every fetish, but also to all notions of spiritual enlightenment. It will be the return of the god who has become absent in the materialist world, the light behind the trees. every promise of libidinal satisfaction or self-actualization the internet has ever offered up, coalescing into an orgiastic mode of being based around pure antilogic, which will function as an energy release valve in a world increasingly defined by corporate machine logic

basically Future-Q will be kind of like getting off your day job at the office, putting on your fancy clothes, going to the club & pretending your a player on a Friday night. Except times 50x, and you can pretend to be whatever you want

Several members of the QAnon community scrambled to suggest that Biden was now going to execute the conspiracy theory’s underlying beliefs

ah man, "*current president* has magic powers & is going to turn America into a Golden Age Imperium" is the lamest way this thing could develop. after seeing the buffalo horns man i was really hoping for the indianapolis jones & the temple of doom shtick to catch on
