Those guitar riffs over Technologic are such utter garbage lol. Not that the song is that good to begin with. But yeah. They're about as washed down as you can imagine them to be in my opinion.. This has me wondering if if Thomas and Guy-Manuel here are still fucking their exes years after supposedly having broken up with them. Also the Interstella upscale is so ridiculously against the message of the movie it's so stupid

Something my 9 year old kid said was pretty interesting. He asked why they wear masks and I initially said "well they look cool" but as I kept thinking about it I realized unlike Deadmau5 or the Marshmello DJ they have always been private and reserve. It turned into a gimmick, arguably, but that wasn't the intention. They literally were masks. They aren't anywhere close to BoC in sound or scope but there's a adjacent sincerity to their output and separation from their personal life and music. I continued and said to him "You know, I don think they wanted to be famous but instead just really wanted to share their music and make that famous."

Yeah it was so noticeable unfortunately, anything remotely in the foreground became some congealed mess it was a shame the main animation didn't even looked like a drawing anymore very sad.

I always loved the gimmick of the helmets, I'm sure it was for privacy reasons but it really created a certain mystery around the music. Even as a young kid I always knew it was two humans but there was something so magical about not knowing what they looked like. It was as if the band was two quiet robots who would just walk the streets of Paris waving at people making music after a long day sat at a cafe or something haha.
