Keeping file sizes is the reason why I usually bring down downloaded classical flacs to 48, rarely 96, and depending on importance, ~20 bits + dithering. With all the 192/24 out there, despite cheap storage, it still gets out of hand otherwise. And we're in (applies to me) inaudible realms anyway.

Yeah. That's the thing. If i were to go 48@24, sizes would be even larger. And although storage is quite cheap, i'd rather don't spend money when not necessary. 

Maybe in the future i will start using 48kHz. Who knows. But i don't have a reason at the moment, to be honest.
