Orbital - Green and Brown Album Live 2024 tour!!

Was gonna joke they were gonna stick on that David 'babylon' Grey track on there and .... yikes, there it is on the digital and cd version !

The compilation is just one Wonky and Wannabe away from winning the most bewildering 'best of' by a band that name starts with 'orb' in 2024

Kind of on the fence for the show in San Francisco on the 16th of this month. Turns out I have the weekend off and SFO is a short flight away from where I'm currently at in Idaho.

The ticket is $62. I was such a massive Orbital fan from age 13-22 or so and then just barely listened to them ever again. I can't tell if it would be a gas or if it would be a lot of effort and expense for a mid experience. I know you guys can't say one way or another--the Brits have good reports in the thread for sure....

Anyone in CA going?

I am referring to the deluxe bells and whistles remaster plus remixes/b sides/bonus material et al. like they did with Green last year.

Let's all hope it isn't the disgustingly greedy, manipulative sham that was the Green album reissue amiright? Because... urrrrgh. Even major labels should have been disgusted by that.

Yeah, twiddling my thumbs now, let's have a nice big boxset P&P. And the small number of singles should hopefully remove the option of a weirdly prolonged, expensive rollout.

Was at the SF show with @xxx & @eh Speedy, this was the most fun gig I've been to in ages! It was so wholesome hearing these old acid tunes played to a packed room for the Green album. Brown was so much more ambitious as an album and hearing it directly after Green really underscored the progression of their work from one LP to the next. After Brown was done they played a few newer tracks including the Spicegirls remix which got a groan from me. The boys really gave us so much for our money and could've easily stopped the show after Halcyon, but they kept going for quite a while!

Sounds like the same set they played in Dublin last year, no surprise there, I think I saw them play the same set 4 times as a youthman in the space of about 4 years, by the 4th show ruining Halcyon with Belinda Carlisle and Bon Jovi really started to grate

Not even furries directly in my view could wreck what turned out to be one of the best nights out. Roll on San Francischre in October!

It's ridiculous, isn't it.

I got the 2015 vinyl reissue of Brown, so given that apparently this reissue isn't? remastered, I am going to be pretty okay not picking this up.

So have I, but I want all the vinyl box set to match my Green album one and hopefully the Snivilisation and In Sides when they're released next year and the year after.
