Dostrotime [2024]

Recommended Posts

Been listening to that album a bit more recently and it leaves a stronger impression on me than when I heard it the first few times. Still looking for a vinyl copy in my town tho

I'm hardly a closed minded nun. Remember, I'm on a fucking IDM forum.... an IDM forum.. Think about that for a second before claiming people are closed minded nuns.

surprised this still isn't on streaming. Amazing album, haven't fully burnt it into my brain with obsessive listens yet, but I'm sure that will happen eventually

Totally missed the release, because WATMM forum always forgets the checkboxes in that subforum picker.

Instant (I guess obvious) favourites are Kronmec (a beauty) and Akkranen (dark and cool). The whole thing will hopefully grow.

Someone here wrote about some gated reverb technique... track+timestamp pls thx

Currently listening to Enbounce on repeat. Such a positive feelgood song. Would greatly serve as a final farewell song, fortunately it isn't. "Goodbye, we had a great time together, everything will be Ok"

On a (mildly) negative side, I'm not 100% fine with those "wall of sound" machinegun drums. Kinda wishing for some higher dynamics percs which are eg in Go Plastic.

Im a  huge fan of this album.. listening nearly every day since release but had a few weeks gap as i was away with friends etc and its even more delicious and im truly getting into the classic squarepusher anticipatory moments and use of space. He makes me "glove" more than any artist - is that what you call it when youre braindancing and you use your hands on imaginary hardware knobs sliders? Fuckit its MASF

Not played this for a while now. Going to give it a blast this weekend.

It's still not in Spotify...

Still haven't heard it since the listening party. My 15 year old Beast Yamaha CD player needs replacing and I don't have a spare 500 quid. Can't be bothered with Bandcamp downloads (download it onto what? As their downloads aren't compatible with iPhone), can't be bothered with vinyl as I can't be arsed with that, so yeah. At least I can listen to Neil Young. Arse.

What do you mean? You can listen with the Bandcamp app or download mp3s to transfer them to the Music app or VLC, or upload them to Apple Music or Spotify.

bruh the Bandcamp app allows you to stream or 'download' directly onto your iPhone. you don't have to think about it, just go to it in your collection, open the album, there's a download button. unless you're on some old version of iOS/iPhone it should work just fine.

Hmm. Thank you for your delightful wisdom Skipper auxien. Listen via BC app has a pretty low bitrate. I'd prefer 320 or more. I have an old Sony Walkman that plays FLAC. I think it currently is down the back of the sofa. Maybe I should chop up the sofa with a axe? Arrrrrrrse!

Finally got a chance to check this out. As a cohesive experience, it's perhaps my favourite since Hello Everything.

I particularly like how rigid the drums sound in terms of the velocity of the hits. We know he can do incredibly dynamic percussion, so this is an interesting choice. It adds some nice contrast to the lively instrumentation. Random thought: Why is it that when he does this in a track, it's a smart stylistic move, yet when i do it, it's amateur hour??

The standout for me atm is Kronmec. so nice. Tommy sure knows how to slap that little bass.

Enbounce is so lovely, I recall some people weren't into it, if there are still Enbounce haters out there I would encourage you to open your heart and let in the sweet melodic excess
