Autechre mixes on BBC Radio 6

Be cool if some older live sets were featured. Might be the perfect opportunity for one of those 2010 sets to surface.

Would be cool but I think the idea is more playing other people's tracks. Their Mantronix and Latin Rascals 12"s are surely getting dusted off in preparation.

I guess the BBC offers replays of the show they broadcast ?

i hope someone can spare a megadownload link of this after it airs.  don't disappoint me, internet.

edit: before it got blanked -

Autechre, the English electronic music duo consisting of Sean Booth and Rob Brown, kick off their week as 6 Music's Artist In Residence with a mix including music from Noxin, Earl Sweatshirt, Pink Floyd and Del The Funky Homosapien.

Thanks, I knew I'd seen pink floyd somewhere and then it was gone. Lol

Honestly these dj mixes don't really interest me at all unless they're playing new/unreleased ae stuff. That list of artists could potentially be a trollish ruse and they surprise us with the next Sessions, but I don't think that's really something they would do. 🥱

And yeah no actual shade intended toward pink floyd itself, I too have had my floyd phase in life and have my personal favourites. But it struck me as funny to see them in that list because they are already played on the radio constantly, played absolutely to death... not what you might expect in a dj mix from the ae wizards. But it will probably end up being some deep cut, not another brick in the wall or some shit lol

Well it appears that for the Artist in Residence (currently Pet Shop Boys) they'll keep the shows up/streaming for a couple of days after they air.  Should this hold true for the 'chre believe you me:

I think my preference would be for talky dj presenter shows than scratchy dj mixy shows

I suppose 2 of both would be good too

Please excuse my childish dj vocabulary

i remember the 12-hour webcast they played when Oversteps was released, at one point they had Aphex, Coil and Boards of Canada playing in sync at the same time at epileptic speeds. was glorious.

Rob's clarinet synth would go down nicely too, meme or no meme it's spicy sounding af :catbed:

Why are Warp sending me emails that Autechre are doing 4 silly 1 hour mixes on BBC6? It can't just be a mix of misc stuff can it? pls new material, pls god
