So, anyone picked up the new issue of Future Music?

Its probably one of his most candid interviews yet.

Unfortunately no details of his current set ups but he does seem to mention really wanting to develop a hybrid instrument for Korg/Yamaha very frequently in recent similar interviews - please if someone from Korg is listening - just let the man loose with a decent budget!

i've been to 2 WHSmiths today and 2 Tescos and still cant find a copy. Pretty gutted...

I'm afriad i'll have to leave the scanning up to someone else, no scanner at work and no internet at home!

Worth picking mag up anyway as excellent feature of the Brighton Scene (I was born here) and lots of technical whizbangery...

Namechecks Martin Hannett, that was something I wasn't expecting to see - Martin Hannett is, well, god

Talks about going to great lengths to get the Analord vinyl as perfect as possible - anyone who owns the A10 picture disc will know it's an an awful pressing, easily the worst i've ever heard

Have fun reading about Xenakis' UPIC computer music system..

And the thought of letting afx run riot in Korg or Yamaha's R&D department is just scary - it's quite possible he'd be able to make something great, but it would probably be stuffed full of 300b vacuum tubes, tape loops, optical compressors, cloned Neve EQs and a spliff tray mounted on a robotic arm - all for the reasonable sum of £55,000

Xenakis is amazing, Ledgens De Er, or similar spelling is a must listen to, a bit like Merzbow and steel stretching!
