Autechre Pen Expers in Palms springs?

Madness....what is up with Pen Expers (track 01) here? The melodies are very un-Ae....I dig it, but it's bizarre. Sounds like they were listening to some promotional 1980's Olympics music or something lol

I thought the same thing, sounds very similar to the theme from Chariots Of Fire by Vangelis...with the Pen Expers drums thrown on top

Funny, I was gonna say Vangelis instead, but I've only heard the Bladerunner ost and didn't want to namedrop out of my depth.

Without listening i'm guessing the melody in question is 'Cosmos' and i'm pretty sure the artist is vangelis. i have an ae set (most likely the one we're talking about) that starts with cosmos. so good spot guys (or guess) with the vangelis.

Just a had a listen and you're right, Heaven and Hell Part I from Cosmos. I knew it sounded like Vangelis!

i'm not following, is the tracklisting wrong? let me know track numbers and correct titles and i'll fix it.
