I'm not really sure. I just got it because it has Moby's signature on it. :laughing: And ain't you folks ever seen green tea before? If I was pissin' out that shade, posting images of my 'rig' to I.D.M. n00bz would be the least of my concerns.

And hat, I believe those are 'active sense' messages, which are supposed to prevent stuck notes in the event that the connection between the keyboard and whatever else is suddenly terminated. For me, it's mostly just a petty annoyance to always have the MIDI status lights on my interface blinking. Still, can't beat the keyboard for the price! Two bucks at the thrift shop. They were pretty common for a while. Had mine for years. Even picked one up for a friend. As a rule, I buy anything I find at the thrift stores that has MIDI ports on it.

Here's two pics of my very simple studio. It's a laptop with two speakers and a sub under the desk.

The receiver came with a free cat.

One of these days I'll buy some hardware but I don't even know where to start with that stuff.

Seriously, far too may WATMM users have too much fucking hardware.

Yeah well I guess I was just more or less pointing out the fact that you don't need endless amounts of crap to make music :)

It does what I need it to. :)

Truth be told I've just been improvising and guessing my way through electronic music for almost a decade now. I still don't know what half these knobs and buttons do. 2 grand worth of hardware would be completely wasted on me.

ahh yes... i miss my R-5 Human Rhythm Composer. i never should've sold it, but it was a dark time and i needed rent money.

normally I use it as a green screen so I can super impose myself into porn via after effects

kokoon I have a DR-110, GREAT drum machine. Have you modded yours for midi or cv in? I want to do so for mine, I ordered a kit to do so but it never came in. Very depressing. Also, BEAUTIFUL studio in general, I don't think I've heard any tracks of yours in a while ,I want to hear.

you want another one?? here's what i seriously thought this was for: you pretend the painting is a window, you pull up the shade and it's dali reality out the window... and then go compose music from that viewpoint.

yeah DR-110 is really great, i just got it so no mods yet. i'm still deciding where to put the additional pots for all the sound mods, as far as external control goes, i'll probably just add din-sync, so i can drive it from the x0xb0x.

tracks... just a bunch of schreeching droning noises :) wait some more, i need to collect a few more tracks for an EP.

how hard is it to do the DIN sync? I have x0xb0x as well (not finished making it though) so that could be perfect.
