i almost got the Remote 25 SL, but then i realized i could get this and have 37 keys that take up less space instead

but i'm definitely never going to install any of that shit, i just need the keys for controlling other shit like my G2

i was going to get one of these but didnt want any big software/driver installs... what can it do with minimal software install? does it have midi outs or is it usb only?

it's usb only. you just have to install the usb drivers (which you can do without installing any of the other software) and then it will show up along with all your other midi i/o's in whatever music software you use.
