I want a Minimoog so, so badly, mainly because of the three oscillators. A cheaper option could be a Roland Alpha Juno 2... but I can't even afford that. I'm poor. I spent all my money on a new synth, effects pad, drum machine, mixer, and go go boots. Theoretically, I should be set, right? I mean, go go boots and a drum machine, I could be rockin'.

But no, I'm not set. At all. Just can't do without that hoover sound. Like the sound of bees swarming. Good lord, I love it.

The Juno X2 plugin does a rather nice hoover (if you tweak it about a bit and add a touch of chorus)

Hazelcom McLeyvier:

128 voice computer controlled analog synth workstation. Fully featured sequencer as well as custom C-like programming language for generative modulation. Laurie Spiegel was a big fan. 8 were made, and sold at $30,000 in 1981.

post about synths you want, but are unable to afford due to evil, evil capitalistic companies and their wanting to make a profit

What, as oppose to wanting to make a loss for their hard work?

Besides hardware technology now ain't worth the money set against their software equivalents. Sure I'd love to get a few pieces of hardware. Looks good in one's studio but not much else.

the ps3300. maybe 3200 cause it has presets, but 48x3 VCOs is better than 48x2 VCOs

the MonoPoly. 4 VCO monosynth with SSM2044 filter and discrete EGs. YUM!

yeah, the six.

and i'd really need this for the next 2 weeks (back at the clinic)

seriously, is it a clever idea for me to get a macbeth? anyone hear any horror stories or anything? because imo, they should be more popular than they are - they sound like amazing machines...

i don't think that you can get them anymore or if you can find one then you should probably think about getting one soon. I think that i read on anaoguehaven that only like 50 were made and all have been sold. Apparently there is a limited white-colored version of the macbeth m5n coming soon. Before getting one, make sure you have a decent sound/midi interface.
