no, better equipment does not mean you write better music, but better equipment does however tend to sound better than shittier equipment, and while writing music on shitty equipment works for some people (kurt cobain played mostly shitty japanese strat knockoffs on nirvana's nevermind for example) it doesn't work this way for everyone, and yes most people do sound better on better equipment. that's just how it is.

yeah dude, i know. i also would love a bazillion big studio with everything i would like - who doesnt? but anyways.

hendrix didn´t used the best shit in the fucking world to play. he used a fender strat. in the 60s with perhaps a 400-500 bucks value. that´s not very expensive. it´s a normal guitar and his marshall was a 'normal' amp.

there is a lot of margin between the cheapest shit ever and hi-fi audiophile stuff. i prefer that midrange actually.

What it comes down to is that a talented person can make great stuff with a tin drum and a whistle and a talentless person can make crap with the best equipment ever.

However, it's possible that if you gave the guy with talent better sounding kit that his stuff would sound better.

And a sweeter reverb makes your tracks sound sweeter. It won't fix a crap track though
