My friend gave me a copy of Stalker burned on DVD-R. I heard it was an excellent movie. I have not seen it yet, unfortunately.

and of the camerawork, and the length of some shots (longest: 7 min)

fun fact: many people involved in the making of Stalker died a decade later from cancer (including tarkovsky) because there were a lot of toxins present at the shooting locations

This is what my friend told me. BTW this is not fun for them. :(

fun fact #2 - The original negatives were destroyed (by a processing error at the laboratory) and the film had to be shot again from scratch with a new director of photography.
