i'm not interested in the stuff i know so much as the mysterious homebrew widgets -- afx pedals, that knob box (a sequencer, OR something bent w/ contact points is my guess), that rats' nest device near his rats' nest...

My ex used to collect old military and scientific oscillators; I loved twiddling their knobs.

i got a nice 4chan 100mhz oscope, a couple of HP lab oscillators, and some miscellaneous old military kinda gear culled from ebay and garage sales. come over and let's get crazy

I know. FAPcity!!!! I'm just so ridiculously impressed by people that build their own components.

I have a friend (I think I've posted his cabinet before) who built his own modular from Wiards then just customised it like crazy after qualifying as an ... oh what did he do. Some professional type electrickery qualification. Every time I turn around he's put more stuff in the cabinet.

I dude I know apparently promoed a night with him around this time. I've yet to get the full story from the horses mouth but I've heard he surrounded himself in mixers + other electronic shite then blew the PA in 10mins and was generally a moody bugger not talking to anyone with my mate having to communicate to him thru his agent.
