Hardware:

  • Yamaha CS6x
  • Roland Juno-106 (Workhorse synth)
  • Roland TR-626 (Bent)
  • Korg ES-1 (Fantastic sampler for a budget)
  • Behringer 12 Channel Mixer (Noisy as fuck. Stay the fuck away from Behringer :getlost: )

Software:

  • Renoise (MIDI controller and breaks)
  • ReCycle
  • Soundforge (Mastering)

I want to add a hardware reverb for the Juno and some more vintage stuffs (606, some older SH model synths). Also, a Mackie 1604 looks to be in line for purchase as well.

And who doesn't want a 303? :w00t:

  • Yamaha FX500
  • Tascam 4trk tape deck (messy ass distortion/recording ideas)
  • Photo-Theremin
  • Magnus Major air organ

Software:

  • Wavelab (recording/mastering/sequencing)

Guest disco_epilepsy

Software:

FL Studio 5 (sequencing, plus I use 3xOsc for almost everything)

Korg Legacy Collection

V-Station

Pro-53

Misc. VST effects, plus some other synths I don't use much

Acid Pro 4 (for post-mixing stutter effects, giving vocals BPM data etc.)

Goldwave

Hardware:

Creative MuVo TX 128mb mp3 player (I use the voice recorder)

My mum's guitar (which I've only used on one track cause I suck at the guitar. Also the voice recorder is insanely bad quality)

Lately I've been thinking of buying some synths and a cheap mixer, are there any synths that are extremely cheap and don't sound TOO bad? (nothing fancy, honestly I'd be happy with something that did nothing but make sine waves)

dunno if this qualifies, as it's never been set up and is *still* in fucking boxes (wrenches out hair) until i move house, but:

HW

dp2,7 g5 + 2,5gb ram + 2x400gb hd

nord electro 61

alesis micron

tannoy reveals

soundcraft spirit m4

delta 24/96

SW

logic 6

+ ibanez half acoustic, warwick 5 string, my faithful spaniard gitar and an ancient orla organ (fucking ACE).

+ an assortment of old casio/shite keyboards/yamaha drum machine.

a ramshackle collection of new and used, ace and not so - testament to learning about kit while buying it. hopefully it'll all play nicely together...

Software:

FL Studio Producer Edition XL (everything including recording vocals)

Hardware, etc.:

M-Audio Radium 61 Midi Controller

electric & acoustic guitars

The cheapest-ass microphone this side of the Mississip'

The only stuff I use in recording right now is FL Studio, the midi controller, and the mic. I can't play the guitar well enough yet to incorporate it into my music.

RM1X hardware sequencer in combination with Cubase SX3 and Renoise.

Waldorf Microwave XT hardware synth + some VSTs, controlled by a Midiman Keystation49.

Fahz0r, do you like the BCR2000? I'm thinking of buying one.. (to control the cutoff and volume knobs of my XT and Rm1x, they are starting to fall off I think + it's great to control the mixer in SX)

Hey, if you are unloading on hardware, you should post it up. I'm always looking to add pieces to my noise making arsenal.

Hardware:

  • Revox A77 (reel-to-reel)

  • Roland JX-3P (analog synth)

  • Yamaha TX-81Z (FM tone generator)

  • Cutec AE410 (dead anaolg/reverb module, but still makes some lovely sounds anyway)

  • Roland MC-909 (actually my first synthesizer, so I can't bear to get rid of it, though it has its uses)

  • Warwick Corvette 4 string fretless, passive

  • Warwick Corvette 6 string, active

  • Gallien-Krueger RB710 bass amp

  • Shure SM-57 (somewhat fux0rd but still in working condition)

  • Steingberg MI4 external sound card

  • Sound Blaster Audigy 2 platinum eX (which is shit, of course)

  • M-Audio Midisport 2x2

  • MIDIMan midi merge 2x2

  • Cello

  • Flute

  • Djembe

unused hardware:

  • Boss 550mkII

  • Yamaha TG-33 (old vector synthesis, not even sure if it works properly)

  • Casio Some-Bull-shit-or-Another

  • Roland Music Player MT-80s (like a MIDI boom-box. it's quite amusing, but not really good for much)

Software:

  • Sonar 3 (for sequencing)

  • Adobe Audition (for recording... better sound than Sonar, imo. also much better for wave editing)

  • Reason 3.0

  • MC-909 editor

PS: thanks for making me do this. I have a lot more than I thought, and I should start utilizing all of it.

Hardware:

- old but trusty computer with front held on with sellotape (1Ghz P3)

- mic i got for 2 quid (and no it wasn't a bargain)

- minidisc recorder (sony MZ-R35)

Software:

- modplugtracker

- various sound editors

- various plugins

all you need! damn you bastards with money!

i also have a remote 25 but don't use it for composing (or at all really) so it doesn't really count. it's also the only bit of music making gear i have spent money on. i think my music income tops the outgoings on gear and thats the way i plan on keeping it.
