Paulie Walnuts
minisystem said: kaen said: how much is that lot worth? ha! more than i'd care to tell the missus. whenver something arrives i'im like 'oh, that? yeah, that's just a loaner from my mate'. her student loan has come in handy a few times though... Thing is, if you ever need the money you're laughing 'cos pretty much all of those synths tend to appreciate... Think about every time you buy Cubase or Ableton Live - Every year or two that's another £500 disappeared into the ether... On the other hand, every year there's more Prophet 5's and Jupiter 6's ending up with synth collectors or in museums - and every year the price seems to steadily creep up... I'm suprised the SH-5 hasn't crept up with them - You can now pick them up over here about the same as an MS-20 - Which is quite insane if you ask me... My mate who's actually good at playing the keyboard can take over synth duties whilst I beatmash and record the whole lot whilst we get stoned in my room. Proper jamming, with software. Love it so much. edit: Incidentally my "studio" consists of a Novation K-station, Ableton, an edirol UA-25 interface (rock solid and fucking lovely) and a scattering of VSTs. And sometimes FL5 when I'm collaberating with some of my mates who use it Edited January 18, 2006 by Iain C Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/1731-your-studio/page/5/#findComment-57409 Share on other sites
