Best hand drums ever!!!

The fact he's grouped in with the dubstep crowd is quite encouraging, imo. Because yeah, the only thing he really seems to share w/other dubstep producers is the deep bass(which Shackleton doesn't even rely on as much as many others). The fact that he's been so embraced is very good for the future of dubstep, though, will keep producers interested in trying other styles.

I've always been a fan of middle-eastern percussion, Shackleton excels at this.

to answer your question. i have only heard a sample of shackleton. gonna grab this and give it a listen.

first couple of tracks i didn't like at all. around 9:30 i'm liking that track. except the lennon sample. bass is so quiet on this though.

holy crap, anyone else heard disrupt's 'foundation bit' album? this is tasty stuff.

i spent about a year intermittently trying to track that 'dubstep track that samples joanna newsom' from a stella session, so chuffed to find it

There is a Clouds track "Mighty Eyeball Rays", it's on some compilation of San Francisco dubstep, really amazing track(I'll add it to a mix soon).

went to see kode9 last night, the sound was rubbish and the venue was absolutely the worst place i've been to. i did not enjoy the evening. though i'd surely like to know what a few tracks were...

I heard a couple of shackleton tunes, didnt really grab me to be honest. as someones mentioned, sounds thing and sparse. just a drums loop with a load of random samples going on over 8 mins. ill give the mix a go though
