Yeah, I love VVV's music! Got my copy of his Fortified Audio 12" a few weeks back and have been wearing it out ever since ;)

He's actually a fellow Austinite, and a really nice dude too. I met him at the sammich shop where he works - I went in about 2 years ago and he was the one who made my food. Ended up talking about the music playing on the PA and he told me about his tracks (he was recording as The Solar Constant at the time). Didn't see him again for a while, until I started getting some dj gigs & there he was at the shows. It's really cool how quickly his name has gained recognition around the world - I think he changed his name to VVV a little over a year ago & now he has a vinyl release (more on the way soon) & worldwide respect. Much love!

yo, i wonder if someone can help me... i just heard this track 'Clouds - Timekeeper'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0d5jEksvrBg&feature=related

I'm looking for more dubstep like this. I'm not too interested in the really aggressive stuff, looking for more 'interesting' (ambient?) dubstep that i could easy sit down and listen to as well as dance to. I'm sure the answer is probably in this thread somewhere, but tbh i can't be bothered to look through the whole thread lol.

Cheers!

Yeah, check out pretty much any Ramadanman tune for that sound you're looking for - they'll all work!

Pearson Sound is a Ramadanman alias - also well worth checking.

Sincerely, I don't know why Ramadanman has gained such a good reputation in the dubstep scene. He is overrated as hell, in my opinion.

Actually I think a least 85% of dubstep artists are overated as hell. This one gained good reputation because he incorporated elements of trenndy house to dubstep.

I had to actually listen to the radio last night during a poker game with the lads which is now riddled with the most crass dubstep cliche's.

If dubstep bass sample packs don't completely destroy any credibility this fad has then I dont know.

that dubsteppy two step vibe however seems to be across the entire spectrum at the mo

You can stream the album here:

does anyone know of a US store selling this album?

I would also be willing to buy the digital format, but they said it was going to be released today, and it doesn't seem to be up on the site...

i'm really interested in this album and would like to pick up a copy ASAP, but the digital format doesn't seem to be available...i might just have to settle with ordering it from this site. thanks for the reminder. by the way, whoever brought up the album originally, especially if it was you Richie (you helped me out with something else recently), thanks a lot, it sounds great, and I don't think i would have found it on my own.
