I wonder what all the hate is about.. I'm enjoying this release.. I'd love the eerie melodies which are all over this album. Nice beats as well... fun sounds... whatnot!?

After several listens, it's really great...

Just try to listen to it late at night, gazing at the rain outside, drawing while smoking a magic cigarette...

one has to wonder why he would name the album as such, except to try to score some cheap pity points. you have to remember that he dragged his break up on his own messageboard. not when it happened, mind you- but only months later when she started seeing someone else.

that was two years ago, so why put this out now? it's not like he doesn't have a label at his disposal to release anything anytime he wants. not to mention, after all that time this is the best he can come up with? this just reeks of a spiteful git drudging up the distant past in a desperate attempt to remain relevant.

i wonder what the name of her album would be if she had a label to release on? i guess it is a lot easier to smear someone when they don't have the opportunity to answer back.

The title (I think) is more than a passing reference to his split from his missus... and the music is rather melancholy so I think this might be part of the motivation for this release.

track seven, "dirtylush stinkwife" kind of gives it away, doesn't it.

just a bit.

sounds pretty damn good to me. something different anyway. sounds a bit like some of his older stuff I spose. Very cohesive album. Nice job. Will exchange tickets for plastic.

i haven't gotten a response in the mike forum so i'll ask here and i'm sorry if it's been discussed already but in the last track is it meant to get REALLY INTENSELY STATICKY ? like , fuck. i took my headphones off for awhile and then i heard all this noise coming out of them and i thought my computer was trying to blow itself up and then later found out that it was the mp3 making that noise.

help please/

a couple of thoughts..

1. wasn't electronic music always supposed to sound "dated" in a way?

2. i've heard this release and i feel like it's half assed. and i love his previous work... so i'm a huge fan of his music normally.. it's just not exciting and it seems underproduced.

its really strange. I does feel half assed I will admit. The formula he used for songs is kind of cool but it also sounds like the tracks took him 10 minutes a piece.

I'm probably the biggest ziq megafan here (is listening to meast while posting this) and I didnt like this much. Its all dissonant chords, every single track, no melody just dissonance. Blah, 20 bucks wasted IMO.
