the only thing that makes me sure this is aphex twin is that this is coming out with one track per record side, and one of these tracks is like 4 minutes long (rounding up). thats pretty FUCKING LOUD RECORDS.

one of the new tracks on myspace translates to '6 mixes for silver' , clue?

Nobody asked for a source when Warp said "Tuss" meant "erection"

i think i did somewhere along the way.

this has to be rdj

there are vocal filtery things (i dunno what to call them) going on in rushup i bank 12 like in analord

why wouldn't've anyone heard brian tregaskin before now if he's so awesome, i say

the snares around 2 min in rushup i bank 12 sound like flutter

i wish ae would make music like this i know they're capable

great tunes. the synth that comesi n around 2:09 reminds of the main synth in Happy Birdie! Sad Birdie! by Vulva.

actually i am an idiot, that synth starts at the intro of the track as well. anyhow.. great tune. good ep. YES>!

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

On first listen it sounds very good. Couldnt give a shite if its AFX, Pete Waterman or Brian Tregaskin. Dont believe the hype kids and listen to Weet about listening to Ludd about listening to music

I've noticed a number of posts in various Tussy threads saying something equivalent to this. I for one do not think that we are abstract purely rational minds embodied in physical frames that really can divorce expectations from appreciation of art, e.g. music. Even if we could, it's not clear that we _should_; surely there is good reason for appreciating a work not merely for what "inheres" in it, but also for appreciating it in the context of an artist's catalogue and seeing it as a progression (or, perhaps in the case of The Tuss, a restatement). I mean, I love John Cage's 4:33, but if you were to download an MP3 of it without understanding the context you would be appalled. An artwork [or album] is richer than what merely appears in the work-in-itself - the act of composing and releasing it can fruitfully be seen as part of the artistic endeavour, and appreciating that involves moving beyond "the record" and seeing it as part of its composer's life-plan or living biography. Albums aren't just slabs of vinyl or CD, they're creations by people, and it is relevant to consider the background of that person to understand - and sometimes enjoy more - the music within the greater scheme of the artist's output.

This is reeeeeeeeeeally fucking good. Analord X 10.

Sounds like a collaborative clusterfuck run under AFX supervision. I'm very impressed, whatever it is --no extra context needed. This is just really skillfully made, cool sounding music.

What, you really think "The Tuss" is a reference to an erection? Bear in mind that a certain electronic music artist released an album called Drukqs and a single called Ventolin.

This is such a good release.

Kinda like analord meets druqks, a slap in the face to v snares, and the end is almost a throwback to analog bubblebath

I asked him about some of the track titles and he messaged me saying that Hwagh Abart.....means Six Songs For The Sake of Silver.

How many tracks on Rushup? 6? For the sake of Silver?

I think that's a tipoff to say he's doing it for the money.
