a couple of the tracks are awesome, for sure ... but i just wish there were more of them. how they call 28 minutes a proper LP, i dunno

richard d james album was only likew 34 minutes long wasnt it?

too dark park by skinny puppy clocks in at just over 30 minutes.

but i agree after all this time waiting for him to get over his analogue only hardon its sad that we only get a 6 track lp of most likely 3 year old material (albeit fucking good material)

i mean, okay, sure, some albums can be 30 minutes and not seem incongruous (pink moon, early beatles, etc); but when you have six relatively straightforward electronic music tracks without any sense of narrative or cohesion, that should be called an EP, not an album

i think there could be a narrative if not we should make one up

i know just the people for such a job

so much etc that examples weren't needed

but apparently we havent even heard rushup yet. just be psyched you got to participate in the first ever fake leak of an album that featured tracks that are potentially authored by the original artist, but just arent on the album. I mean, thats fucking crazy and has never happened before. and i always see that idea put forth on this forum and here it happens to such little fanfare.

official tracklist:

note the only change from what leaked is that the track 'death fuck' is called 'death fuck mental beats'. maybe that was the joke in myspace brian tregaskin saying "why would i call a track death fuck".

so i guess this means we wont get to hear teddie oggie in good quality or whatever that one track was.

Rushup Edge LP

Rushup Edge CD

Pre-order now !!

says on the label it's written and performed by karen tregaskin, not brian tregaskin. odd.

like I said from the get go, the leak is real, the myspace page is fake... of course you're not going to see that flashbulb track "teddie oggie" on the release; it's not RDJ.

Samples on Boomkat are the same as the leak, we pretty much have confirmation now. That that I doubted it.
