I think its really great too. For all those people complaining about its overall sameness Mike told me it was a self imposed decision to use only 3 ES-1's and a drum machine for the whole album and no fancy pants gimmicks.

I'm far from knowledgeable about µ-Ziq stuff, but I like this album. Very sad though; when it's finished I just feel like telling Mike that everything'll be alright, and not to worry (whilst thinking at the back of my mind that actually, life isn't worth living anymore).

i bought a copy of Bilious Paths for two quid from a random shop, and the disc said on it something like "this is a promo only, like you care, if i see this on sale anywhere or find it on p2p before the release date, there will be no more mu-ziq albums"

so obviously he didnt find that one

so i was slightly suprised when i heard he was actually releasing another album

he peaked at tango n vectif imho.

ekt is superb as well, but only really because it manages to be deliciously silly, and totally innovative for the time.

I thought it was good, really good on the first listen. Really mellow and clean with some great synths to boot. But after I heard it once, I have never really listened to it again. I've turned it on and then just turned it off after like 3 songs. The melodies seemed more emotional at first, but now it's just blah.

ZANY vocal samples

woah!

Actually, it does seem like every track on Billious Paths contains strange and also quite annoying vocal samples...

Fred - you had it right the first time. It is bloody awful.

At best, there are moments that don't 100% invoke projectile vomiting, but never is it 'good'.

I'd rather not go into detail about the nauseating horrors of its 'at worst' moments (ie- most of the album). The only people who actually like this record are his most devoted, 40-year-old virgin, fanboys.

This whole album is fucking lush. Some of his most organic and life-filled tracks.

Seriously, people, just sit down and listen to the album. I don't mean flick through the mp3s. I mean listen to it.

Shout outs to the saracens, musulmen and celestials.
