Its actually hard to believe, but I once met a woman who made her own ambient drone-ish music. It sounded something like eno or steve roach, but she told me that she loved AE. She was like 30 or something. Her music was kinda cool, all though I don't exactly remember if she had released anything. I suppose the type are very rare.

i met a girl who loved autechre at glade. she was very hot too. it was strangely exciting.

i've known a few birds that like teh IDMz, but not as many as blokes.

I've hardly even met any blokes that like electronic music. Women have been a definite non-starter.

Autechre pronounce their name as 'autecker'. Sean Booth explains that the name came about when the duo were working on an Atari. "The first two letters were intentional, because there was an 'au' sound in the track, and the rest of the letters were bashed randomly on the keyboard. We had this track title for ages, and we had written it on a cassette, with some graphics. It looked good, and we began using it as our name."

randomly hitting the rest of the letters sounds pretty lucky to me. Plus i really dig the name autechre, so it'd be cooler if it wasn't random....or maybe it would be more cooler?
