I've not tried it but thought it looked interesting enough and there's a free version of it, thought I'd share here!

Seems people are responding well to it too.

audiodamage made their old stuff available for free:

https://www.audiodamage.com/pages/free-and-legacy

.... great stuff, and apart from 2 or 3 really old ones (ones with date stamps before around 2010) the Windows installers have got both 32bit and 64bit options

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Idk if this has been posted already but i have been having a lot of fun with the spat5 package for max/msp.  It features wave field synthesis multichannel spatialization and has objects for convolution, granular synthesis, binaural panning, and much more.

thanks my bro. any other cool package you like? I recently bought Max 8 and have made some sampling stuff, but would like to dig more.

No, i havent really explored that part of max until i found this.  I mostly just use the native objects.

Free - NOCOBOT | Glitch Drum Generator

NOCOBOT | Glitch Drum Generator
prototype v1.0.01

[Originally released in 2020, now available for free here. note: need to register with Patreon to download]

Nocobot is a free, open source glitch percussion generator. Just set the number of “nocos” and the maximum length. Once complete, your chosen folder will be populated with all different types of weird nocos.

I built this tool to algorithmically generate sample content for my live coding work in tidalcycles. Along with Kickblast (see prototype 1), you can easily build a synthesized percussion palette. I usually spend some time weeding out the good ones after generating them.

The program (written in csound) creates an attack and a sustain portion for each noco. The pitch envelope, decay, length, filter envelope and waveform are all algorithmically generated. The attack voice and sustain voice are then summed. I wanted to get a bit crusher and FM synthesis in there but it didn’t make it.

p.s. To add to the freebie pile ToneBoosters now have all their legacy v3 plugins available for free https://www.toneboosters.com/changelog.html (scroll to the bottom)

I actually payed for most of the v3 Toneboosters plugins and still use them, if nothing else Hum Remover is a nice harmonic notch filter tuned for mains hum overtones that's very useful if you use cranky old gear. I still use the v3 gate all the time, too.

Yeah I bought all of the v3 ones previously (and have since paid for the v4 upgrades) but they were so fairly priced and useful that I don't really mind others can now get the joy of them for free !

Yeah they were worth it.  Never bothered to upgrade, although the newer stuff looks great too. I was moving back toward mostly hardware by that point so I didn't feel the need.
