yea, I don't like really how anybody is judging these tracks from these crap quality samples. How would you like it if people judged your music out of context at a rate of 41 kbps?

But yea I agree with khov for the most part. I mean, die hard fans will buy it no matter what. Even a bunch of people in here will probably buy it. But I mean, when I talk to most people they can't believe how much I spend on cds and stuff. It baffles them that I actually pay for the cd when it is up on the nets for free.

I will try as hard as I can to pre-order Quaristice, believe me! As well for their concert at my town in April.

Only autechres I haven't bought are Draft and Untilted. And I feel no remorse in either case. I have their entire back catalogue, so they've earned plenty from me. If Quaristice is good enough, I'll buy it.

Lol, I only have those two right now on actual disc! :) But my warpmart cart has approx 14 items right now (too bad ep7 is temporily out of stock there :-/) ... I'm waiting to order till Quaristice gets on pre-order I think... or should I order right away? (my order includes the new clark as well so I'll have to wait a couple of days anyway.. agony of choice!?)

I can't believe that people on an Autechre forum are debating whether to buy 'Quaristice'...

Look, when they play Manchester on 29 Feb, it's at the 'Music Box' - a surprisingly small venue with a capacity of 500.....

Now they could fill out a venue ten times the size but they don't - they like intimate places with the lights off and no visuals so that the audience can do nothing but focus their ears on the music with no distractions....

Sean and Rob never have and never will sell out to a 'big label', play unnecessary gigs where their hearts aren't in it 'just for the money' or release a 'best of' series to cash in.

Just for that i will very gladly part with my cash on March 3.....

5000 people? Those venues would be pretty big for AE (I would of thought)

I think they are doing a terrible job at promoting the album with us to hear.

actually that sometimes does work - the manager of my local "Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf" gives me big discounts on their food as I'm such a good customer, and I have several hookerfriends who give me free sex...

but yeah, Draft is a pretty good album, I just rarely want to listen to it. When I do, it's to marvel at the sound design, not because the music moves me. I "respect" Ae's Confield and post output; I just don't love it that much. I everything from Chiastic through EP7, though. Amber and Incunabula are good too when I'm in the mood. Strangely Tri Rep does little for me, though I like Anvil Vampyre and Garbage.

I'll probably be spending $900 to fly back to the States to see them in concert, so I hope that erases my karmic debt.

the japanese edition is out on feb.27th, a week earlier than the uk edition. also appears to have 2 bonus tracks, just hope theyre better than the bonus track on untilted.
