No-one liked the last two (apart from audiophiles and people who pretended to like it).

So i will be avoiding this at all costs.

Excuse me, i LOVE both of them! It's more accurate to say no-one liked them except those whose appreciation of sound goes a little deeper than others... :yeah:

i like hafler trio and autechre a lot but did not like the 1st 2 releases at all.

i dont think it has anything to do with ones ability to deeply appreciate sound, what someone thinks is quality is very subjective imo.

It's Autechre for fucks sake. People aren't supposed to agree on it!

Personally I find the ae/h3o stuff to be a little too musique concrete (if Autechre aren't already concrete enough for most people) Label this one "For Completists Only"

Quite right. i guess i'm so fond of the ae/h3o releases because i'm a huge Hafler Trio fan, so i'm coming at them from that direction, rather than from being an Ae fan (although i'm one of those too).

you should not concern yourself with whos discography something belongs to and judge what is in front of you.

and the latest from the die stadt mailing list...

"This years summer list without a new Die Stadt title... well, we (Die

Stadt & Simply Superior) are starting the final production work on the Third

and Final (?) Part of the autechre/h3o collaboration very soon. After some

unforeseen problems we are hoping - if everything goes smoothly - to

offer you the finished beauty sometime in September. It'll come in a

special format: double Audio DVD (5.1. Version), each disc featuring 2 (!) hours

of music. So if you don't already own a 5.1. Surround system maybe now's

the time to get one (if you like watching movies on DVD ths is maybe a

good idea anyway)... We are sorry this will not be available in another more

'standard' format, but this extraordinary work just won't fit on 2

standard CD's AND is intended to be listened to - in its full glory - like this.

Due to the special nature of the format this title will come in a limited

edition of 1000 copies. So expect another list / mailing towards the beginning of September in

which I'll announce the exact release date and price. "
