so yeah I've got a pretty concrete idea what's going to happen with this. I don't really see an album out of the quality of material submitted. so it's going to be about a 5 or 6 track EP net release. havent been able to access my own website's FTP server for some reason though. once i get that sorted out I'll contact the artists and we'll get this sorted out in the next month hopefully.

A little let down by this, thought I'd finally be on a non net release, though I'm not on too many of them either. This stings a bit more cos I missed out on Deep Sea Creatures as well. Also hope my track wasn't one of the ones that sucked lol.

yeah i'm let down as well. it's also kinda, i dont know, weird when the tracks are tagged for other releases and album titles and such. but there are at least handful of superb tracks. i couldnt scrape together 13 or 14 tracks and package and sell it for 10 bucks and feel good about it though. probably has to do with the subject matter I'd imagine. not as inspiring as the DSC

i quite like my track.. i play it regularly.

yeah black hole is a black hole whereas dsc can be anything from a funky little fella to a double dark bastard to a skippy little electronic music ditty.

so is this just your choice this time freddy? no judges panel?

you could still put out a CD, but with 7 or 8 (or even 6) tracks on it.

(or a little vinyls)

i think people would still pay for that. Its quality not quantity that counts when judging whether a CD is worth $10 imo

i prefer a 7 track CD that I can listen to all the way through rather than a 15 track one on which I feel the need to skip tracks.

also, having the CD coming out really motivates people to enter, future competitions probably wont be so popular without the whiff of a definite CD to entice people.
