fred realized the compilation and released it in some exotic countries. actually it's doing very good in indonesia and netherlands antilles.

got a really solid sounding tracklisting now... will post it here today, tomorrow at the latest and that is a guarantee

I think this idea would have got alot more attention if it had been a tribute to touch-holes rather than black holes.

so before posting this tracklist (i'm going through it today a few more times just to be sure it's ace), i want to apologize for two things-- one, bitching about the quality of tracks submitted. after I got my new computer and installed my soundcard and began listening to the submissions properly, I realized they were much better than I initially thought. i think my complaint was more about the number of original submissions this time around... probably half that of DSC. this was a red flag to me as far as the format goes - a significant decrease in interest compounded by the amount of work it took to put together a hard copy release last time around, by my calculations added up to a pretty big loss in money. so, the second apology pertains to being misleading about the format of this release. beyond money and beyond interest level, I just don't believe in CDs anymore. I believe in digital downloads, and if it's hard copy, strictly vinyl. now had there been signs of a significatnly more interest, I was planning on doing a 12" vinly EP coupled with digital download... which still isn't out of the question, but that takes a lot more money and realistically would need to sell 100 copies to break even. so in short i want to sincerely thank those of you who submitted. my disappointment was really towards those who didn't, which of course is only natural :) I also want to apologize for taking on a more surly, this-is-a-burden-to-me attitude throughout this process. i was in the middle of planning a wedding and planning a move across the country, and only now in the past week or so have I really settled in with free time to enjoy and appreciate once again music and the spirit of a bunch of musicians getting together and making some tracks and having some fun. anyway. I'll be back in a few hours with the tracklisting. thanks for being patient

i still havent sorted out my FTP issues but soon I will get that up to speed and have this released as a free mp3 download with artwork. if you have a problem with this and want to withdraw your track, then let me know.
