not at all azatoth.

on the contrary, metal people, often, are interested in evoluted electronic music genres.

beside that

i would not have a discussion about aphex with someone that i know that dislikes his music,on what basis then?

because "the fact he hasn't heard much of his music"

so,please Mandow:

I'll second that. Twoism is definitely a very good place to start.

BoC's music is fairly defined by eras, centered around each major album.

Start with Music Has the Right to Children, then Geogaddi, then Campfire Headphase. Depending on how you like each one, you can drill down to the other works - singles, EP - from that era.

I've always recommended Hi Scores as a good starting point, as there are some truly magical tracks on it. If you're not into EPs, then go for Music Has The Right To Children. Geogaddi and The Campfire Headphase (and the other EPs) are best if you "understand" BoC's musical themes beforehand.

alspacka (if afx is tuss that is)

Cool. It's worth mentioning that BoC are much more melody oriented than percussion oriented. Try The Campfire Headphase and Twoism.

Also, if you liked MHTRTC, try it's evil brother BoC Maxima. I'll PM you a link to a complete version.

Agreed, Everything You Do Is A Balloon is what hooked me on BoC, and many others I hear. Hi Scores is an awesome start. But just get everything by BoC, it's all amazing and won't disappoint.

I don't know, Hi Scores is a bit simplistic for a first look into BoC. I would think Geogaddi would be the easiest record for an aphex fan to get into.

Err, actually when I think about it, probably the Pin Skeeling Remix and Prime Audio Soup remix would be great for new comers.
