Well thank you in that case - It's got me through many an hour of needing to relax. Do you know if it's available anywhere as a digital purchase, can only seem to find out-of-print CDs occasionally popping up on l'Ebay.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Not that know of. Try itunes. I have a cd

....or, try khmmmmm well, soulseek

Have looked as well for digitals. Wasn't available through the usual channels like beatport/bleep/hardwax/bandcamp/itunes. So I ended up doing a torrent through some russian torrent site. In flac. Haven't used slsk for over a decade. Not intend to change that either.

This track is on the part 2 release. Various ambient pieces part 1, that was a separate release, is as good as this one.

that russian torrent site only had the second one, btw.

there were a bunch of old FAX releases on beatport. a good amount actually. but none of the jochem paap ones. i really hope this gets picked up and put on bandcamp, or something.

@xox thanks for linking the Jochem Paap track, hadn't heard of it or maybe I did long time ago and couldn't remember it. Freaking nostalgia made me visit http://music.hyperreal.org/labels/fax/ - still there as it was.. 20 years ago?! Sadly without Pete Namlook.

Also prompted me to relisten to Slag Boom Van Loon - Pedals ?

I feel dumb, I never tried to pronounce Vrs-Mbnt-Pcs as words..  For anyone not aware, its these releases that were mentioned, both fantastic.

^yeah! (or just post it up duhhhhh!  )

only 5 or so miniutes into this Mrg-Rvx track but it's very very nice. reminds me of something sorta in some vague way, can't put my finger on it. maybe i've listened to it before even? it's very nice. perfect for the blistering heat, very much has that fever-dream-nearing-heatstroke kinda vibe

Interesting description! I can see that. But at the same time to me it also sounds like a deep introspection while standing near the sea, heavy clouds, wind, 20 degrees celsius... time/life and shit

@xox you up for more Fax Records nostalgia?

I really feel disappointed now... :unhappy: Maybe because of all that big expectations.

Stupid!

I love this track. And Quaristice. Can’t believe the rubbish I wrote earlier in this thread...how embarrassing.

Listen real carefully (on decent headphones) to the section from 18:24 - 18:58 - in the background it sounds like a recoding of like an old English police siren going past and some sort of squeaking something or other that plays a couple of times

I think this might be the same squeaky siren patch that's heard on SIGN - si00 (the outro section from around 5:24 onwards)

Thanks for the heads up - I didn't remember following the man on Twitter, so got a real nice surprise when he mentioned he'd bunged them up
