Made my old tracks (3 years ago) without chords, just acid bass lines some leads and a bunch of old 808 samples. Most of it sounds great, is catchy as hell, good mastering etc etc. Then I tried to do chord progressions and now all my tunes suck to the nth degree, I never finish a song and get stuck with the same 4 bars over and over and over again.

:(

I prefer ambiguous harmony through counterpoint rather than building chords.

I own more samplers than keyboards.

I like to build FM patches rather than subtractive.

i'm a sucker for penis.

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

also, i'm not really sure i made a good move with the Yamaha MG24/14FX (ouch, that hurt)

why??

i've blown my budget for the moment, but i was considering getting the MG32/16FX or whatever it is...

it's just that i'm not sure. i'd probably be better off with a (bit smaller) mackie. it's not that it's a bad mixer, feature-wise it's a fantastic deal. but the sound, so far, hasn't impressed me. my previous mixer was an alesis studio-24, i grew to love that sound, so i have to find new love for this yamaha's sound now, i guess. it's a bit softer than the alesis, i must say...

also, think again whether you really need 32 channels. and i don't doubt you have enough sources, just sayin'...
