He probably visits once in a while for a laugh, and he's most likely had a few accounts.

I would assume he'd be pretty embarrassed though knowing that there's a community of men who obsess about him on a daily basis...

i was on watmm chat about 6 or 7 months ago and there was someone named analord, and we talked for a bit, and the guy inferred that he was afx, and i have to say, ill never know for sure, but it seemed pretty real. whatever...

anyway the conversation went almost exactly like this:

analord: mrpopcornhead

mrpopcornhead: hey

analord: stop talking about me in the forums

mrpopcornhead: who is this?

analord: do i really have to say

mrpopcornhead: we just want to know who the tuss is

analord: i havent released anything since drukqs

mrpopcorn: what about analord?

analord: analord is old

mrpopcornhead: how old?

analord: i dont know, just old

'analord has signed off'

now i was cooking at the time, so i would say something and leave for a couple minutes and come back, and leave again, etc. the whole thing took about 10 minutes, and when i returned from the kitchen for the last time i had seen that he had signed off. i think he was bored of me not talking back. im sure chaosmachine could dig up some info from the server and maybe find an ip or at least have records of the conversation

p.s. also a few years ago, me and a friend went into this electronic music instrument repair shop to pick up an organ that was getting fixed. he took us into his shop and he gave us the organ. then we were chatting a bit and he asked if we liked NIN or aphex twin, and i was like "OMG i love aphex twin". and he's like, ya ive got one of his synths im fixing in the back room. i was like, "fuck off", but sure enough, he took us back there, and there it was. he let me touch it, and i twiddled every knob on that thing. i wish i was more into equipment at the time, because i dont know what kind of synth it was, but if i saw a picture of it id recognize it

the guy said he chats it up with richard on the phone sometimes, and im like "you have his number"? he laughed and told me he cant give it to me, i think he thought i was going to ask for it or something (which i wasnt). i asked him what richard is like, and he said he's a nice guy, and that he's not nearly as weird as his albums are, and he kind of grinned at me and laughed quietly.

ive still got this guys number too, so if a situation were to arise where i "needed" to speak to richard.....i could get his number :shade:

this is one idea i have to get richard to hear my music and maybe get me on rephlex or mu or something. ive just got to make a good demo and come up with a clever idea to get in contact with richard via this repair man

when are you guys going out? what are you going to wear?

news flash: anyone can do that. do you seriously expect Richard to enter the chat, play with you and log in and off? believe me, he must have better things to do with his life.

making someone get you in touch with him to send him a demo is really cheap. its as rude as that kid throwing a demo at his face in the coachella baskctage.

Yeah he probably only hangs out in super technical parts of the internet. Probably forums on assembly language and that kind of stuff.
