Guest edge
Are Bethesda making us pay for PC DLC? If so they can fuck off - I see torrents are popping up :D Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/39419-im-leaving-watmm/page/8/#findComment-934900 Share on other sites

Guest Shockerbrown
damn i'm really pissed because i "bought" this fucking game (50 fucking euros). the game freezes after about 20 min every fucking time. when the freeze is over everything has strange colours and weird textures etc. after the freeze the game is unplayable. even the menu is unreadable. so the only thing i can do is CTRLALTDEFUCKINGLETE. and i can't install the 1.1 update! wtf is wrong with the guys from bethesda game studios? p.s. i just deleted fallout 3 from my hd. screw them. Squee
1. Click Start 2. Click “All Programs” (or just Programs, depending on the version of Windows, whether they’re using “classic,” etc.) 3. Go to the ffdshow folder. 4. Click “Audio decoder configuration.” 5. In the left hand pane, click “Info & debug.” This is the second entry in the list. 6. In the right hand pane, near the bottom, find a check box labelled “Don’t use ffdshow in:” 7. Check that box, and in the text box underneath (it lights up when you check the check box), add “fallout3.exe” (don’t include the quotes). If there is already something in that box, put a semi-colon ( ; ) after what’s already there, and fallout3.exe after that. Do NOT use spaces, since ffdshow will think that’s part of the filename. A valid entry would be “explorer.exe;fallout3.exe” (without quotes). 8. Finally, click “Ok” and start Fallout 3. Guest EDGEY
I just picked up Fallout 3 last night - I made it to the first town - I didn't like that Moriarty guy - so I used the VATS to put 4 rounds in his head. Guest -Ad-
Has anyone met Dogmeat yet (if you have you'll know what I'm talking about). What's the best way to utilise him? I've shipped him back to Vault 101 for now, just to be on the safe side. Also, what's in the model home inside one of the houses in Minefield? I don't have Lockpick skill of 100 yet, so had to leave it behind. Also - this is an epic game. Anyone who doesn't like it can STFU. The model home was a big disappointment once I finally got it open. It only contains a few minor items. Some stimpacks, a couple of books and so on. Nothing special. Dogmeat has quite a lot of health (can withstand quite a lot of gunfire and a couple of grenades), he can find you ammo, chems, food, and weapons, but watch out for stronger opponents. They'll take him out easily. I love how I keep bumping into random characters just hanging out in the wastes - I met a friendly super mutant the other day, who had a few words with me then promptly disapeared again. Brilliant. Yeah, I loved that random super mutant encounter too. See you're still in love with the game which I was too, but a number of things like that model house with nothing in it ended up blunting my enthusiasm somewhat. It just wears on you that so many locations and quests have weak payoffs. Squee
I've heard rumours that Bethesda is working on a patch that will let you continue the game after you've completed the main quest. It should have been that way from the beginning... I've heard that some game companies actually pull stuff out the final product only to release it later as DLC or sometimes it's actually already in the game but locked by a code until you buy the DLC, which I think is ridiculous. It's like buying a car but you're not allowed to look in the trunk. Wtf?
