luke vibert Acid techno in the future

I think acid techno has come along way since the Analord releases and things like Luke Vibert's Mate Tron...

It seems like in a year or two it'd be just the right time for something new to come out of Acid techno, and well, I imagine something by AFX would be nice.

You can debate the whole Aphex Twin/Analord/Tuss connection but overall the main idea is simply a progression of the electronic music that most people are aware of today, and making things that seem less accessible more accessible. Not necessarily by making a simpler sound, but depending on how the genre changes I think it can become rather popular.

I wonder about electronic music, and it probably works like classical music, you only have a handful of talented composers every half century...

don't really have any idea what's exciting about "new" versions of established genres of music myself but aphex does do some sweet stuff with acid like that baby ford remix 4 mins in where he's kinda picking up and dropping and bouncing all these bass hits, fuck yeah. heard pwsteal.ldpinch played out at demf this year and that was sweet too so yeah count me in for this imaginary something.

Carlos Souffront, I think, he played lots of other acid and breakbeat-ish techno at the pyramid stage.

acid techno of the future will still have 1-bar 303 patterns, however, they will be 4-dimensional 1-bar 303 patterns.
