man, some people drink crazy amounts of espresso. used to work in a coffee shop where a guy got 8 shots in a medium coffee. another guy i knew just brewed a coffee-cup-full of espresso . .

I don't think you really need to spend the extra money on a nice vodka if you plan on mixing it. Just get something in the 20-5 dollar price range and you'll be fine. If you're feeling adventurous, then get some cheap vodka (like takka) or rectified spirit!
