Yeah, the first book is not good. There's TEN THOUSAND books in the history of mankind that are better than this crop of shit. It's bad litterature. Worst than pulp.

just saw this a few days ago with my girlfriend. she loved the books, but thought the movie was ok....i was pretty fucking confused through the whole thing, and they didn't bother to explain a hell of a lot....the fighting scenes were too short and dark to see anything remotely cool.

the head of the vampire family looks like tom cruise though.
