Guest Shit Attack

gotta say i think cronenberg is a pretentious humourless goofball. i quite like his films because theyre so extreme and bizarre but at the same time you cant help laughing at how seriously they take themselves yet they are so completely over the top and ridicularse i cant really see it as anything other than a bit of camp. even the character names are daft "brian o'blivion" being the best example . is everyone else getting how silly it all is and just like it cos james woods has a gun for a hand or that guys head explodes or do you really think they are good films ?

hes writing a novel, apparently

  Quote
Penguin Group Canada has acquired Canuck rights to local filmmaker David Cronenberg's debut novel, set to be published in early 2010.

Penguin Group Canada executive editor Nicole Winstanley approached the Toronto helmer several months ago to ask whether he would consider writing a novel.

"His films demonstrate a deep understanding of the human condition that could translate into fiction brilliantly, so I'm delighted that he has decided to take on this challenge," said Winstanley.

to shit attack - nah, hes brilliant
