So, this commences tomorrow. Will my 5th AFX gig be 2 hours of acid disco AFX style? Or two hours of incomprehensable noise? I'm going either way, so I'll report back on Monday. Whatever happens, it's gonna be fun (even though I suspect the latter will be the case!)

Urgh epic comedown :(

2 hr set, massive AFX sign in front of the gear that was flashing (there was loads of equipment mostly used by Hecker). Set was basically an AFX DJ set with Hecker making noises over the top. Some parts were surround sound which was wicked. Towards the beginning a girl came on wearing PVC catsuit with an AFX sign codpiece, with megaphones strapped to her and had a dance, she worked her way into the crowd at some point. He played a couple of Tuss tracks, some Analord 9, Feel Real Good by Manix, and Frequency by Altern8. The set was mostly banging techno with some gabber to finish it. It was ace. Afterwards I got very very drunk, threw a frozen pizza at a seagull, tried to catch a duck and fell asleep on a picnic bench. My head hurts.

Were you wearing shorts and did you have a sunhat over your face? If so I totally saw you sleeping on that bench.

It was by the Irish Pub I think.

best night of my life

Agreed.

Basscelf into Tim Exile into Clark over on the Red stage beforehand was amazing then straight over to AFX and Hecker - The night just kept on giving. Lame had to wait till almost 6 in the morning to see Radioactive Man though.

By the way there's a photo of the girl in the AFX codpiece and speakers that Solo was on about over in the Bloc facebook group. One crazy getup.
