I've listened through the set twice. I don't understand why he needs Hecker. It's not as though Aphex can't make all those sounds himself. Why does he need an extra pair of hands? And why the hell does he need Hecker? :on2long:

i guess he wants to promote hecker a bit cause he likes his stuff. and i would say hecker is rather "unknown".

Seems a bit weird that though, a lot of the other Rephlex acts were relatively unknown and didn't get to sit alongside RDJ like teacher's pet.

well it is pretty amusing that Hecker is top of the bill :)

and he used to drop in bits of hecker in + out on his mixes for a while

I think Rich like UPIC not Hecker. On a musical level

Well, they're mostly sound-alikes. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if some of the artistes were revealed to be RDJ.

I've had this sneaking suspicion for a over a week now that there is unreleased Aphex very early in the set... 8:45 - 12:45

Upon first listen, I liked the tune that starts around 8:43. Not sure about the 21:54 tune though. Sounds like filler material.... IMHO.
