hah, it's like you've all got a 'normal person' shopping list at home. i doubt you'll gain much happiness fitting into what society has told you is normal, unless you're the most average person alive, and finds nothing more invigorating than being accepted by the masses.

if i'd done that i wouldn't be listening to aphex twin, getting excited about the genius of the windowlicker video. i'd be listening to brittney and going to clubs shuffling my feet.

also, can you think of any artists, musicians or anyone creative who is 'perfectly ok'? i reckon driving tanks around cornwall and putting your brother's grave stone on one of your EPs/singles is not classified as normal by the majority.

je répète:

fuck

that

shit.

just cause some one is "ok" doesn't mean they're an asshole. you can be perfectly ok and want to put a gravestone on your album or listen to aphex twin. i can't believe you'd hold yourself so high above people like that. jesus. well, i guess i can believe it but i cant believe you think that liking windowlicker instead of toxic is "fucked up". grow up i guess.

way not to get my point. society defines what is okay, and so to approach the definition of okay you must therefore conform somewhat. this is no necessarily bad to a certain extent. it's probably a good thing we conform to the whole not killing people thing. but too greater conformity would negate greatly deviant works, and those often are the most important.

you miss the point by a country mile and sound like an angry 17 year old mr. intelligent design. by being stable and undamaged thus far what exactly am i conforming to?

Good point well made. My tone was rather abrupt, wasn't it. To tell you the truth it's because I'm not okay, and your aura -- which is red with a tint of magenta -- reminds me of that fact, almost daily.

i get your point, i was just saying in apparently too many words that your point is retarded, and yes i really wanted to say you sound like an angry 17 year old.

I don't like all this dichotomization of "ok"/"not ok" business. This thread is where psychology was in the 1950's with some fella in a snappy suit describing the indicators of "mental hygiene" We've come along way and a person's success is in life is more appropriately construed as a self-defined continuum rather than category insertion and then matching your rat race credentials with everyone else.

I don't know. The thread just seems so "cunty" particularly autopilot's "I'm dashing, clever, a lion in the board room, a lamb in the bedroom, and I guess exposing more people to this piece of work is the only area to improve!" Wowoweewowow

you calling me cunty?

people who have more stuff than you are better

apparently

you serious? it's not about stuff. it's about breathing, feeling alright, positivity, and going about your day without fear.

it's interesting though, the ones with the chips are taking this the wrong way completely and i made myself clear at the start this wasn't about elitism.

The first time i saw a prescription's thread on watmm i was genuinely shocked at the number of people relating experiences in it.

i dont know a single person in my life who takes any sort of prescribed anti-depressants or anything, or at least no-one who has spoken about it, ive always considered them a slightly distant, last resort sort of measure, but if you take watmms regulars it seems to be an approximate 30-40% have or do use them.

maybe i should close my 'where have you been?' thread incase people who haven't been anywhere get all insecure?

Please don't misquote me. I said I was a "a wet sea otter in the bedroom".

Also, I was under the impression this was a thread about feeling self-contentment. If so, then getting upset at people's peace of mind is more telling about you than them.

:flower:

lol i try and make a positive thread about feelin good and end up wanting to self harm.

FUCK YOU WATMM!!!
