Guest bigs
funny how this thread died out once the album dropped. wonder if it has anything to do with what they heard when it did. i've given it a thorough listen in different states of mind and didn't really enjoy it in any of them. i can take noise, i can take experimental pieces that don't follow any rhythm or beat... i can take it. this wasn't inspiring for me. the sounds weren't very interesting, the "progression" of the tracks is something i'd liken more to hecker fucking around with a fat modular synth and seeing what would come of it more than anything planned. i don't mean to rag on him too much, as i'm sure a lot went into it, but this doesn't capture me in any way. watching youtube videos of people wandering around his installations with confused looks, trying to see if sitting down or on this side of the room would make it any better basically solidified it for me. i don't think he should charge for this, it doesn't seem to fit that whole paradigm... you know... the one where you pay for something you'd like to hear more than once and outside of a presentation setting.
