AFX + HECKER @ BLOC 2009 (COMPLETE SET)

Any chance of getting more video footage? Maybe random bits from start to finish where Hecker ends with sea of noise would be ok. Video quality from the intro was good, would like to have the whole thing. Video file could be divided in 1 GB files and uploaded to megaupload.

Kaen drops the strong truth, i think the only people impressed by this are very very desperate fanboys or people who love 1992 era rave music diabolically and don't care who's Djing it out.

If anybody claims they'd rather see Aphex dJ these types of sets than play a live set they are straight lying through their teeth.

Nonsense, I love hearing AFX DJ out for the reasons that he is clearly musically very well informed, and hearing his sets is at least an interesting process as he gives the audience a ton of varied and totally wicked music presented in what's normally an extremely cohesive and well structured manner. I can't even imagine what an AFX live set would be like, except rather unworkable given his methodology, so DJ sets are more than enough I think. All I can say is no-one gives Vibert this shit.

Regarding the AFX and Hecker point, well, there's clearly a difference between tweaking synths and producing sounds live and dropping in a pre-recorded clip on a laptop. If you were there, then you would of realized that

Well I imagine live sets now would be totally different to how they were 12 years ago, when he last did it! I don't know, each to their own I suppose. You either dig or you don't, if you're not content with DJ sets then noone is forcing you to see them.

as a recent convert to '92 rave stuff, i'd rather listen to this dj set than the tuss, but i'd rather listen to an afx live set than either. hecker did a lot to keep things unexpected though, i thought it added something fresh to the older material, like that grainy sharp sounding stuff he did right when altern8 - frequency kicked in.

why do you think aphex is faking the dj part xxx? it's not that hard to mix AND throw your hands up every once in a while.
