Can you please set up individual member subforums? It's really frustrating when you make a thread, only to have other members start replying to it.

I actually agree with what he's saying very much. If we do this, then GB will more or less turn into a nonsense crap forum... Maybe not initially but as time goes on, and the fact that this forum is mostly dedicated to music, It think people will end up just posting absolute shit there. But this could be fun as well.

Yes, no one's in the mood to discuss music at the General Banter after reading all the homosexual oriented topics and faux gay message trading. I was actually going to suggest a music only subforum.

I really like the idea of a General Music Subforum, but I'd still like to keep the main artist subforums in there, and phase out Plaid and Cylob.

I have always been against the artist subforums.

But I do like the idea of:

GB

Music

EKT

Crappy posts about our favorite artists without real/entertaining information will still drop quickly in the music forum. Survival of the fittest. People will reply to the interesting bits, and then we'll all be able to hear more about the music we share in common all in the same place.

complete agreement, though I'd also be amenable to the 4 forum idea of GB, Music, New Releases, EKT

Also look at your first page of GB. How much of it is actually music related? Not much. Most of the music stuff is hidden away in places where you're forced to one small subject, and the low traffic in those sub-forums means crappy posts can still stay near the top.

So keep all our news, movies, youtube, batcock, etc alive and well as GB.

And let the music forum grow.

looking through general banter, there's pretty much no discussion of music as it is. the new releases section is good but people bump threads to talk about old albums over there anyway :P

i like the idea of GB, Music & EKT. maybe if you could have that plus the calander idea you suggested earlier for new releases it'd be prime :)

Yea, the New & Upcoming Releases is a bit out of place here with almost complete lack of music threads. It might be more active within a music-only forum, or maybe not.

Merge New & Upcoming Releases with the music-only forum and have that instead of New & Upcoming Releases... then no one can complain about there being more forums :)

Can't be fucked to read three pages of this, so someone might have already suggested it, but I think this is a good idea if and only if the artist subforums are merged into it. That's what we should have done in the first place. Otherwise it's just way too diluted.
