hmm, i just heard some 'brits' having a conversation in a supermarket. they were loudly discussing whether or not they have time to have a full English breakfast before going back to England in the morning.

also later i observed that they weren't polite, they said "CAN WE HAVE A BAG?" to the checkout girl. didn't say please.

hah yea can't help noticing the just-slightly-too-loud, obviously "well-off" british expats in the south of the city. always pushing/shovelling kids around and trying to radiate poshness. i don't think there's that many of them but geez do they stick out!

i don't notice many but i don't really go to the posher bits (although i did years ago when i occasionally walked to an british expat shop (to get pasties) that was down de lairessestraat, any on a tram i assume are tourists). but i recently heard one posh english person shouting about property development and loled

edit: these english breakfast dudes weren't posh at all tho

having tended bar in Cornwall, I can well attest to the fact that tourists of all nations are idiots, and british people are not polite when asking for beers.
