i do think he could make a beautiful, and the key word is beautiful, action film. a martial arts film or something. he seems in his element exploring movement as it relates to the human body and he's amazingly good at capturing that on film. i'm actually not so sure now that neuromancer was ever the right fit. i hope he makes a crazy action film, i think that's where he'd be most at home.

I personally feel Cunningham could make a fucking excellent Lovecraft adaptation or just a really atmospheric creepy horror movie, something with minimal locations very few characters and visual in the same creepy way Rubber Johnny was. I imagine in my head what Cunningham could do with something akin to the special effects in the movie 'The Thing' but with his modern skills, it would probably be very visually groundbreaking and wouldn't rely on shiny fake CGI like almost all horror movies these days do.

the parts in his newest music video 'Sheena is a parasite' where all that weird alien looking shit fies at the camera imo blows away most horror movie filmmakers quick cut scary shots
