Dear Mr. Clark,

Please be advised that i will be buying this, your most interesting and accomplished record since Empty the Bones of You. Although I do not care whether or not you have the 'floating man' on the people's foreheads, I do, however, very much care about a lyrics page in the artwork. Every song has captured my attention with clever melodies and catchy rhythms. The placement of vocals is very well done and I would really like to know what is being said so I may sing along properly while shaving and driving. Please do not fill the inside again with a lovely peach, brown, red or whatever colors you have not used yet. Instead, please print proper lyrics so I may read whilst I enjoy this record in front of the fire.

Thank you sincerely,

Jules

you shave while driving?

and drink tea, text message, and read the paper while eating donuts. dont you?

i need to know the lyrics to rainbow voodoo right now.

i love how some things get slightly out of time, or at least they seem to. like the beat towards the end of Talis when the vocals are there, then it slowly seems to disintigrate very slowly. the beats seems like its coming apart, not in an ae way, but. ah, i dont know. nevermind...

“The only hard thing with this album,” says Chris, “was selecting the tracks: I've got so many that it was a constant process of editing and chiselling down the structure until it was completely watertight. I've got enough tracks..... I could stop writing new tunes for the next three years if I wanted to, but I can't resist it....I'm already gone off on another plane. T'will be interesting melding this with the new Totem live show.”

I'm not gonna listen to it until the live gig/album release.

If it is as mindblowing as it seems, its gonna be one hell of a show

the leak is only 192 anyways!

the entire album is available on a russian mp3 site in 180 - 222 kbps (vbr).

if clark and warp were smart, they would do to this album what they did with growls garden and throw the shit up on bleep to prevent further piracy (as well as let me get my FLAC on)

well... after a listen, i had to say, I'm more confused than ever as a clark fan. Although i had to say after every album / EP i was kinda put off in the beginning but kinda came around - but the confusion seems to be going further and further and I'm eventually liking the albums less and less (I still never fully got into Turning Dragon).

I have to agree with whoever said that the tracks all sound like 40 tracks mashed into one - which makes it seem very unconcentrated to me - very messy. But from bits and pieces come brilliant sections in this album - some of the best clark moments i figure. But it also contain some of the worse... some confusing meandering notes that seem to lead to no where... some parts even gave me a headache. The ending of the album is superb though.

I've only listened to the first 9 trax, but I reckon this is fuckin' amazing. Turning Dragon was too straight-forward techno and in-yer-face for me, I bought it but never fully got into it either. Not really headphones/at home music <nor was it supposed to be I guess>.

Some real original sounding shit one this one. Hits the spot. Quenches your thirst.

<will be purchasing as soon as>

This album so fucking full of energy. I took this in with some hash in me today, this is such fucking awesome stuff.

I must say I adored Body Riddle but it was a melancholic fall/winter album for me and this is a real summer rush.

The melody that comes in at the end of Outside Plume is fucking epic. Can’t get it out of my head.

Growls Garden is still growing on me. Such a tune. »Wintersunbeam...« fucking ace.

I must say Rainbow Voodoo reminds me of the kind of song I would think guys slurr in pubs. Like in the Wire where they have the dead guy in their bar, on the pool table and then they all sing. what are those songs called? Totally unique sound. really diggin it.

Look Into the Heart Now is placed just right pace-wise. After the head rush that is Rainbow Voodoo. The way he composes the acid is really slick and awesome.

Luxman Furs I am not feeling quite as much as the others but it leads into Totem Crackejack very nicely.

And what an amazing, furious, racing, crazy track Totem Crackerjack is. Damn.

Talis is the way I would envision a vocal track on Body Riddle. Very nice and dark.

And at last Suns of Temper floored me totally. What a track!

This is next level stuff in my opinion.

Clark you crazy, beautiful madman.

Don't forget the fucking crazy bit at the end of Future Daniel where the track becomes completely obscured by some sort of running motor sound, its fantastic and I don't really know why

It's amazing how poor the part 1 sampler is to the final first half of the album... I am glad others are diggin this as well. Anyone get some 80's vibes from this?

so why is it that he has such an amazing volume of tracks but he can't ever fill a single cd? I burned Totems Flare today and there was about 37 minutes of space remaining. I mean, come on!

First 5 tracks and last 2 yeah, but it really dips in quality in the middle

Are you referring to Turning Dragon?

I must say that Gaskarth / Cyrk Dedication, Ache Of The North and Mercy Sines are some of my favorites off that album. The only part I don’t enjoy as much is the beginning of BEG. The ending is awesome though.
